A new game called Home Sports has been announced for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. At first glance, you might think to yourself “Hey, is this a Nintendo game?”. The game’s overall design and even the marketing material look strangely familiar but in fact, this isn’t a mixed reality knock-off of Nintendo Switch Sports.
The game sees players participate in various sports such as bowling, badminton, pickleball and mini-golf. It has been developed by Resolution Games and takes full advantage of the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3D mixed reality features. This means you can set up a badminton table in your lounge or enter a portal into a bowling alley to toss balls down the lane.
It actually looks pretty cool. Resolution Games says there’s even a boundless mode where you can fully immerse yourself in whatever sport you’re playing and freely walk around the game. This is great for mini-golf.
Home Sports is expected to launch on 11 December. If you’re craving some Wii Sports action in VR, this might be the answer. It is playable in single-player and multiplayer and includes five sports. All sports can be played online with friends or locally as a group too. Check out the trailer below. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game here.
