Horizon Forbidden West actor Lance Reddick has teased some potential DLC for the game via a now-deleted tweet. Reddick recently posted an image of himself stating that he’s “hard at work on a session” for Horizon Forbidden West, which could indicate DLC or an expansion currently in the works at Guerrilla Games and PlayStation.
Reddick has appeared in both Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West as the character Sylens. It appears that he’s back in the studio working on something related to the latest entry in the series, though didn’t offer much in the way of any concrete details. In fact, the tweet was deleted shortly after being posted, but you can still find an image of the tweet via Google.
MORE HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST – Horizon Forbidden West Marks Sony’s Second Biggest PS5 Launch to Date
DLC for Horizon Forbidden West certainly checks out. The first game received an expansion in the form of The Frozen Wilds, so it only makes sense that developer Guerrilla Games would be working on DLC for its sequel as well. The game is also available for both PS4 and PS5, so it has a far greater audience reach that is probably craving an expansion of the story.
In related news, rumours are circulating online that Sony is planning a remaster or remake of Horizon Zero Dawn, which originally launched back in early 2017 exclusively for PS4. Why Sony is choosing to remaster this particular title is confusing, but many fans have brought up the fact that it could be done to coincide with the release of the Netflix TV show adaptation currently in the works. Naughty Dog remade The Last of Us recently, potentially as a way for newcomers to play the game before the release of the HBO show.
Horizon Forbidden West is currently available for PS4 and PS5.
