PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn will no longer be a PS4 exclusive as it will release on PC sometime later this year. Head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios and ex-managing director of Guerrilla Games Hermen Hulst announced the news on the PlayStation Blog confirming that the game will head to PC.

Horizon Zero Dawn on PC has been rumoured for some time now. In January, we heard from anonymous sources that the game would act as the first of many PS4 games that would make the jump to the platform. As of now, Horizon Zero Dawn has been added to Steam. It is unclear whether or not it will also release on the Epic Games Store.
But don’t expect every PS4 exclusive to release on PC as according to Sony, there will be a few that will arrive on PC a while after PS4 but it does not mean every single game will release on the platform.
Herman Hulst did not confirm a release date for the game saying;

In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.”

This move comes at no surprise as Sony’s stance has changed over the past few months. The company is moving forward with the idea of cross-play, cross-save and cross-platform integration, something they did not agree on at one stage. Make sure you go and add Horizon Zero Dawn to your Steam account.
