It seems that Sony exclusives may not remain exclusives in the future. According to Kotaku, the PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn is set for a PC release later this year and will make the first Sony-developed game to launch on another platform after release.

The game originally launched in 2017 and was an instant success. Set in an immersive open-world, Horizon Zero Dawn introduced players to Aloy and took them on an adventure they will never forget with a deep narrative and gorgeous visuals. The game became a system seller and sits alongside Sony’s other PS4 exclusives like Bloodborne, God of War, and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Sony’s decision to release Horizon Zero Dawn on PC would come at no surprise. The company has shown tremendous change when it comes to its exclusives and cross-platform support over the past few months and it will open up the PC platform to new experiences and tie it into the PlayStation family.
The news comes from three people familiar with Sony’s plans for the future. The sources told Kotaku that the game will be headed to the PC platform in late 2020 and will mark the first of many Sony-exclusives to make the move. Could this mean games like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man will be coming to PC too? No one knows yet but Sony could plan on it.
