Horizon Zero Dawn releases on 7 August for PC and I never thought I would see the day. Believe it or not but the once-PS4-exclusive is coming to PC with a load of enhancements including 4K resolution, unlocked frame rate and much more. But will you be able to get this game running on your fancy PC? Guerilla Games released the Horizon Zero Dawn PC system requirements and they aren’t too bad. Of course, if you want the best experience you’ll probably need higher specs than the recommended ones but these ballpark specs act as a guideline.

We reckon you’ll most likely need a GTX 1080 to hit 60FPS 1440p and a 2060 and above to get the game running at 4K 60FPS and above. It will be interesting to see how the game runs and what benchmarks players will get on what hardware builds.
As for the special Horizon Zero Dawn PC features, players can expect a robust range of settings to tweak. This includes FOV, multiple presets for anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, unlocked framerates, keyboard and mouse support and controller support. The game will unfortunately not support any raytracing of any kind so don’t expect to see that in action.
Keep in mind that this is the PS4 version of the game with new graphical options so don’t expect characters and models to see an improvement. However, Horizon Zero Dawn still stands as one of this generation’s greatest visual achievements.
