How to Farm Easy Rupees in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

Before I even start with this guide let me get one thing clear – there currently are no rupee bugs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Every rupee farm guide you see will offer legitimate ways to earn the currency in the game and while some are lucrative, others are better. This guide here is likely the fastest and worry-free way to quickly farm rupees in the game but like the other methods, it is work so prepare to grind for an hour or so.

The reason why I am tackling this specific guide is that up to now, it is the only guaranteed way to get rupees without trial and error. Meaning, similar guides on the internet require spot-on timing and other long-winded methods to successfully master. Without further delay, here is how to farm easy rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The best way to get quick rupees in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is to quickly kill a bunch of animals over and over again and collect the meat they drop. The meat allows you to cook meals which sell for over 300 rupees each. Most of the time, each run of this farming method will result in enough meat to cook two 300+ rupee meals.

This method also requires you to complete the Regional Phenomenon quest in Rito Village before you can start it. That’s because this area where the dozens of animals are found which you’re going to kill, is frozen over and in the middle of a snowstorm until the quest is completed. You’ll also need some hefty cold-resistant food or clothing to survive this quest and farm the rupees.

So first things first – head over to Rito Village and complete the main quest for the area. The quest sees Link travel to the skies above to rid the area of the blizzard causing havoc on the land. It is quite a long quest but it needs to be done in the game anyway. Rito Village is located to the West of Hyrule and the town where you pick the quest up is a giant pillar-like mountain.

After you finish the quest, the blizzard subsides in the area and the animals return to the farming spot. The spot where you want to head towards now is just north of the Forgotten Temple. The fast travel spot can be unlocked called Orochium Shrine at the coordinates 0314,2820,1331.

You’ll want to head there on a horse first so it is always available to scoot around on. Once you’re in the area, you simply need to circle around the frozen landscape and shoot all the animals in the field. The

The best way to do this is to leap off your horse and draw your arrow to slow down time. Getting a headshot this way is easier and it will insta kill every animal.

Each animal will drop a range of meats. The animals you’ll find there include a moose, two foxes and even the odd bear. After which, you’ll walk away with enough meat to make three or four meals. Remember to cook the same meat type together. Stacking this meat up to five per meal will result in some recipes selling for 300+ rupees. The smaller meals sell for over 100 rupees. So that’s about 600 – 900 rupees per run.

Once cooked and sold, head back to the fast travel point and rinse and repeat the run.
