Hunter's Arena: Legends

Hunter’s Arena: Legends Announced for August PlayStation Plus

Sony has announced that the recently-revealed battle royale fighting game Hunter’s Arena: Legends is part of the August PlayStation Plus lineup. The announcement was made during the 8 July State of Play. According to developer Mantisco, Hunter’s Arena: Legends is a new twist on the battle royale recipe (because of course, it is) and sees 30 players enter a massive arena armed as martial arts fighters.

As players explore the arena they will take down massive bosses to level up and unlock new abilities. Each map has been designed to provide a unique combat approach that allows players to take advantage of hidden pathways, high vantage points and tall grass hide away from their enemies.

Hunter’s Arena: Legends is a battle royale game so the main focus here are the other players that are also running around the game, killing bosses and levelling up. You need to find them and take them down using all your skills and combat abilities. Each character follows the same fighting game principle whereas they all have their own unique fighting style, combos and strength. Mastering each fighter’s roster of attacks is the key to success.

At launch, Hunter’s Arena: Legends includes two modes being solo and trio matchmaking. As the wording suggests, solo lets players take on the game alone while trio allows them to team up with friends and take down the bosses together. Fighters also pack unique abilities that focus on team play so the trio mode will mix up the gameplay completely.

Sony says that Hunter’s Arena: Legends is free for both PS4 and PS5 owners as part of PlayStation Plus in August 2021. The game launches on 3 August. Check out the trailer down below. You can also visit the official site for more information.
