Since Microsoft began porting some of its first-party exclusives, such as Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, over to PlayStation, there’s been some confusion about which upcoming Xbox exclusives would also get the same treatement. According to a new report, MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will release on PS5 in 2025.
The rumour originates from leaker NateTheHate, who claims that Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will release on Xbox and PC in December as a timed console exclusive. After the timed exclusivity expires, the game will apparently then head to PS5 in the first half of 2025. The report was later corroborated by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson who stated that some media outlets were given the heads up about the news, though he’s unsure if this announcement will happen during Gamescom Opening Night Live tonight.
This isn’t the first example of a new upcoming Xbox exclusive getting a multiplatform release despite Microsoft’s acquisition of gaming companies. DOOM: The Dark Ages will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2025 as well, though it seems like this will be a simultaneous release on all platforms as opposed to a timed exclusive deal.

With Microsoft slowly breaking its exclusivity on first-party games, fans are left wondering if the same will apply to other highly anticipated Xbox titles like Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2 and most importantly, The Elder Scrolls 6 which remains one of the most anticipated gaming releases of all time behind GTA 6. Last week, another report mentioned that Forza Horizon 5 might possibly release on PS5 as well. The same report also claimed that Xbox currently has no plans to bring Starfield over to PS5, though it will “eventually” happen.
