Instinction is a Dino Crisis-inspired first-person horror adventure game which was announced back in 2021. The game was first unveiled in a CG cinematic trailer and has since gained quite a large fan base and even financial investment in the industry.
The team behind the game, Hashbane Interactive has released the first of three major gameplay videos for Instinction. The other two are expected to arrive sometime throughout the year. The 7-minute video shows protagonist Isabel “Izzy” Sierra Ruiz lost in the dense jungles of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
Hashbane says the gameplay footage for Instinction is a “very early” portion of the game. There isn’t a lot of action to watch and there aren’t many gameplay mechanics going on either. However, it does give us a closer look at some of the game’s exploration. There are also a few dinosaurs here and there.
The upcoming second video for Instinction will then focus on combat and the dinosaur AI. We’ll also get a look at the weapons. The third video will then focus on destruction, swimming and “another unique mechanic” according to the YouTube channel.
Instinction is also up for pre-order on PC. However, the game is headed to consoles too. At the moment, the pre-order process is handled on the official website and Steam keys will be sent to users closer to the launch. I am sure an official Steam page will go up sometime too.
INSTINCTION is a first-person prehistoric action-adventure with a wide-linear campaign. Gameplay will offer quests, puzzles, combat and exploration. Explore The Rift, filled with all manner of prehistoric beasts. You will need to be resourceful and quick-witted, only the brave survive.
