Insurgency: Sandstorm Console Details and Gameplay Showcased

Insurgency: Sandstorm is finally landing on consoles later this month. The game was released on PC back in 2018 and while the console launch was always planned, it took a while to get the PC version to the point where it had enough content and was bug-free enough to port over to console hardware. Focus Entertainment is ready to roll out the PS4 and Xbox version and for those wondering what comes with the game, we have you covered.

The publisher just released a new Insurgency: Sandstorm console overview trailer that explores the game, modes and experiences players can expect at launch. For those who don’t know, Insurgency: Sandstorm is an ultra-realistic PvP shooter inspired by other tactical games like CS: GO.

Players can participate in tight moment-to-moment gunplay in PvP matches and also enter 8V8 PvE modes in all-out warfare. The big selling point of Insurgency: Sandstorm is the realistic time to kill gameplay that forces players to take a careful approach to the action. You need to take cover, cooperate with other players and plan your approach to avoid being shot a few times and dying.

Insurgency: Sandstorm also packs a range of classes players can choose from. Each come with their own gadgets, skills and loadouts. Some can mount weapons while others can call in missile strikes. Choosing the right class that compliments your team is key to victory.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is a gritty tactical FPS where two factions battle it out in immersive gameplay that rewards careful action and strategy over sheer run-and-gunning. Every mission is objective-based, with multiple tactical options to choose from, and can be played in either full-scale PvP matches or co-op for up to eight players.

Play as several different classes from either faction, each sporting its own set of specialized gear and equipment made with great attention to detail.
