IO Interactive James Bond 007 First Light Reveal

IO Interactive’s James Bond Game 007 First Light Will be Revealed This Week

Hitman developer IO Interactive has announced that its upcoming James Bond game will officially be titled 007 First Light. It’s set to be revealed this week at the company’s dedicated showcase where it will also reveal more information about the game as well as Hitman and MindsEye.

No details are known about 007 First Light right now other than the title and a first teaser image showing the game’s James Bond figure hidden in shadows. The game, first revealed under the codename Project 007, was announced back in 2020.

IO Interactive confirmed that 007 First Light will be showcased with “never-before-seen footage, and start a new era for James Bond in video games” at its upcoming IOI Showcase happening on 6 June at 6PM PDT / 3AM CAT on 7 June. “This event celebrates our 25-years history with the Hitman franchise and shares an in-depth look at the diverse future of our studio,” said IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak. “We’ve prepared some truly exciting surprises.”

Since the Hitman franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary, fans suspect that IO Interactive will have something in store for the series that will be revealed at the upcoming showcase. Hitman: World of Assassination, a rebranded version of Hitman 3 with all the content from the first two games included, will get a Signature Edition that will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 June. This specific edition will contain all Hitman 2 Expansion Pack and Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack DLC.

The description for Hitman: World of Assassination reads:

“Enter the world of the ultimate assassin. Hitman World of Assassination brings together the best of Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 including the main campaign, contracts mode, escalations, elusive target arcades and featured live content. Suit up for a spy-thriller adventure where all your deadly abilities are put to the test across more than 20 locations. Your deadliest weapon is creativity. Unlock new gear and up your game on highly replayable missions.”
