The phone also has the thinnest bezels found on an iPhone and comes in a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch model. The inner design has been created with a modular system making repairs much easier too.
The mute switch has been replaced with a new Action Button. Using this button, users can assign different shortcuts. So if you hold down the button you’ll mute the phone. If you press it twice you can instantly record a voice note.
Of course, the phone has also adopted USB C. Apple says it supports speeds up to 10Gbps. However, they say with an “optional cable” which makes us believe it won’t be included in the box.
The iPhone 15 Pro includes the new A17 Pro 3nm chip which comes with a new graphics focus with a new 6-core GPU. Apple demonstrated this with gaming and ray-tracing. The company says it includes 19 billion transistors.
As for the camera, the iPhone 15 Pro is described as having “seven pro cameras in your pocket”. It includes a “more advanced” 48MP main camera. Apple says it has improved almost everything on the camera including low-light photos.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max includes a new 5x optical zoom and 120mm focal length lens. Apple has created this new periscope lens with a 25% larger sensor than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It allows more light to enter the lens by bouncing it around an internal mechanism before it hits the sensor. Apple says it takes four times the amount of time to reach the sensor than before.
The new iPhone 15 Pro also lets users record video and footage directly onto an external drive thanks to the added USB C port. This means recording in RAW is easier than ever.
