The second season of Iron Fist is definitely better than the first season. Although I still didn’t particularly like Finn Jones as Danny Rand, aka the Immortal Iron Fist, at least the supporting cast and story made things a lot better. Well, just as many viewers started to enjoy the show more, Iron Fist gets cancelled. Let’s face it, it isn’t heartbreaking, but there are some who will miss the Immortal Iron Fist.

If there was one thing I will probably miss the most it is the performance of Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum in the second season. The character became so likeable even with his flaws and grew quite a lot. This is the first of the big four Marvel shows getting the boot on Netflix. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil all get third seasons.
Netflix and Marvel had this to say about the Iron Fist cancellation:
Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.
After the news broke that Iron Fist got cancelled, fans started a petition on Change.org and it is growing fast. At the time of writing the petition sits at roughly 25,000 signatures. Although petitions like this don’t normally do anything if you loved the show go ahead and sign the thing. It is surprising to me as it is definitely the worst of the Marvel shows on Netflix in my opinion.
