For those who don’t know, It Takes Two is the next game from acclaimed game director Josef Fares. The same man behind the gripping A Way Out which released back in 2018. The game follows the story of Cody and May, two parents that decide to get divorced. Their daughter, Rose, discovers the shocking news and creates two dolls that represent both parents.
The dolls come to life and with the help of a love book named Dr Hakim, the two need to work together to find a way back to their bodies so they can turn back into humans.
It Takes Two features co-op only gameplay as each character takes on specific roles throughout the journey. Game director Josef Fares says that every location and scenario in It Takes Two is unique and unlike anything else in the game.
Similar to A Way Out, It Takes Two features a Friend Pass system where players can share their game with a friend. That said friend can play the entire game without owning a copy. This helped promote the game’s co-op while at the same time making it readily available to more users.
Check out the official gameplay trailer down below. It Takes Two is set to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC on 26 March 2021.
