Cyberpunk 2077 is not even out yet but players have already discovered a cool feature. On the PC version of the game, if you launch it before release day, there’s a Keanu Reeves Easter egg that tells you to go away and come back on 10 December 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 Review Roundup – Buggy Yet Beautiful
Players discovered this feature through the GOG Galaxy version of the game. Reddit user jmendo02 booted up Cyberpunk 2077 through GOG after pre-loading the massive file on his PC. The game boots normally. However, after the load screen reveals the landfill vista, Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand tells you to “go back to sleep, Samurai. It’s not December 10th yet.”
While this is an awesome little Easter egg, many Redditors believe it was a missed opportunity to not use the developer’s favourite yellow announcement banner. Imagine opening up the game and there’s this bright yellow announcement in your face. It would have been an awesome way to end the mass of delays which Cyberpunk 2077 has faced over the course of the year.
Cyberpunk 2077 arrives this Thursday, 10 December 2020 for PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC. It is almost time.
