Journey Developer’s New Game, Sky: Children of The Light Now Available For Free

Thatgamecompany has released its much-anticipated new game called Sky: Children of the Light. The game has been in testing for over two years and is now finally available on iOS.

The game was originally announced back in 2017 during the Apple TV 4K showcase event. Sky: Children of the Light has, however, not released on Apple TV today but on other iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Thatgamecompany has been known for its visually-captivating experiences and Sky: Children of the Light is no different. The game follows a series of characters as they explore a world where stars have fallen from the sky. The player needs to adventure through worlds to find and return them.

Of course, like Journey, the game is all about self-interpretation and the story and features can be approached however you wish. The game is free-to-play with in-game purchases ranging from R15 to R700 for the season pass.

For a mobile game, it delivers some striking visuals with a soothing soundtrack to boot. Of course, the later your iOS device, the better this game will look.

Thatgamecompany plans on releasing Sky: Children of the Light in the future on Android, Apple TV, PC, and consoles so if you are waiting to play this on your giant TV then there is a star shining in the distance, you just need to be patient.

In Sky, we arrive as the Children of the Light, spreading hope through the desolate kingdom to return fallen Stars to their constellations.[/perfectpullquote]

I do suggest you give this a go though as I have been playing it for a couple of months in beta and I have loved every moment. It makes for a great pick-up-and-play game. Download the game over on the App Store here.
