Bungie shared a heartwarming post last night reflecting on the career of the late Lance Reddick who has voiced Commander Zavala in Destiny for over eight years now. The studio also confirmed that Commander Zavala will continue to appear in future Destiny content and will now be voiced by Keith David.
In the statement, Bungie says Reddick was a passionate person to work with. His voice gave birth to Commander Zavala and players have listened to his lines across all their Destiny adventures.

The studio also says that all current Commander Zavala lines done by Lance Reddick will remain untouched. So Bungie has no intention to rerecord any content. However, future content will now be recorded by Keith David.
David is known for his various roles in the industry. He voices the President in Rick and Morty and has appeared in many movies and TV shows. He has also appeared in multiple video games including Darksiders: Genesis, Mass Effect, Saints Row, Spawn in Mortal Kombat and more.
David posted a video n Twitter sharing the announcement. He is thankful for the opportunity and is honoured to continue the work as Commander Zavala.
