Ember Lab Team needs more time with the upcoming adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The game that was originally set to release in December 2020 was pushed back to 28 August 2021. Now, the development team have further delayed the game until 21 September.
The pandemic has not been nice to Ember Lab Team and the game. Originally, the studio planned on releasing the experience around the same time the PS5 launched back in 2020. The game was announced during the PS5 showcase and Sony has been marketing Kena: Bridge of Spirits due to it being a PlayStation console exclusive.
Ember Lab Team shared a statement regarding the delay. They say that the decision to delay Kena: Bridge of Spirits was not an easy one. However, the one-month delay will help the team polish the game for players.
“We have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Kena until September 21st to polish the game across all platforms. The team has been working extremely hard and we feel the extra time is critical to ensure the best experience possible.
We know many of you are eager to play and we appreciate your patience as the team continues to work on delivering the best version of Kena.”
