Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 update 1.2 has been released by developer Warhorse Studios, delivering over 1,000 fixes and improvements to the game’s performance and more. The developer stated that patch 1.2 was the result of “five months of work” as it contains a lot more than just fixes, adding new content and features to the game as well. This includes the ability for protagonist Henry to go to the barber and change his hair and facial hair, while official mod support has been added to PC.
Thanks to update 1.2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has now added Steam modding support to the game’s PC version. Warhorse Studios says the modding tools will let players modify nearly 300 elements from the game, “from UI and combat mechanics to RPG elements and AI behaviour.” Unfortunately, as is the case with some Bethesda titles and Baldur’s Gate 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t allow mod support on consoles. At least not yet, if the studio decides to open it up to console players as well.
Elsewhere in the update, players will now be able to enter a barber shop in the game and change Henry’s hair and facial hair, allowing them to “choose between a clean-shaven look or a more rugged appearance.” Naturally, by getting a fresh new haircut, Henry’s charisma rating gets a temporary buff.
Beyond that, players can expect over 1,000 fixes in patch 1.2 covering game balancing, NPC behaviour, tweaks to equipment and environmental improvements, among many other things. Warhorse Studios will host a developer stream on 20 March going into further detail about the upcoming update, though you can already read the full patch notes on the game’s official website right here.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you’re still on the fence about picking the game up, make sure you read our full review to find out why we think it’s “unconventionally brilliant.”
