Casting for Knives Out 3, or as it’s officially titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is officially underway. According to new reports, it seems like Daniel Craig might be joined by Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan for the upcoming murder mystery sequel.
The rumour comes from What’s On Netflix which reports on casting on various Netflix TV shows and movies. In an article revealing that Cailee Spaeny and Josh O’Connor are in talks to star in Knives Out 3, it also mentions that Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan are rumoured to join the cast.
Tom Hardy and Lindsay Lohan need no introduction. Hardy appeared in several popular projects such as Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Warrior, Peaky Blinders and recently, Sony’s Venom movies. Lohan had a particularly bright career as a child star, appearing in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and later in bigger movies like Mean Girls. She dropped off the radar over the past decade but it looks like the actress is making a steady comeback in the movie and TV world.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery marks the third movie in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery franchise, which began in 2019 and was later followed up by a sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in 2022. The movies mainly focus around Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc as he solves particularly strange murders. Known for their sharp writing and great ensembles, the Knives Out movies gained plenty of popularity and success over the years.
