Larian Shows Off Baldur’s Gate 3 Improved Kiss Animations

Patch 6 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to launch soon on consoles and PC, clocking in at a colossal 21GB. Apart from improved dialogue and quality of life improvements, developer Larian Studios is also teasing better kiss animations for the update. The studio uploaded a video showing just how improved those kissing animations are and it’s getting fans excited all over again.

The video in question shows Astarion telling Gale to get on his knees as he leans in for a passionate kiss, grabbing him by the neck. At this point, the horniness levels for Baldur’s Gate 3 are astronomical. The better smooch animations have certainly brought that to light again. Earlier this week, Larian Studios also showed off Shadowheart’s improved kissing animation with Lae’zel – another tease that generated a, uh, warm response from players.

“I’m this close from throwing my boyfriend out the window for these pixels,” said one comment under the heated Astarion and Gale moment. Another said, “Find Jesus, please. You know how many fantasies you have fueled with these now? They will get out of control!”

In other news, Wizards of the Coast owner Hasbro says it plans on making more Dungeons and Dragons video games following the success of Baldur’s Gate 3. The company’s gaming revenue picked up by 10% after the game’s release despite its other revenue numbers falling. It seems like video games might be the profitable way to go as interest in Dungeons and Dragons seemingly increased to a much wider audience thanks to Baldur’s Gate 3.

If you’re curious about who the most romanced character in Baldur’s Gate 3 is, Larian Studios released the stats in December last year showing Shadowheart as the most picked romanceable companion next to Karlach in second place and Lae’zel in third place.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
