Back in 2018 a short clip of a Harry Potter game presumably titled “Magic Awakened” leaked online and everyone almost lost their minds. The game looked like the Harry Potter RPG we had been waiting for but since then it has been covered in mystery. According to a new job opening at developer Avalanche Software, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened could be revealed quite soon.

Avalanche Software posted a job opening for a “Lighting Technical Artist” which states the position is for a WB Games AAA video game soon to be announced. The position also requires the applicant to have knowledge of the Unreal Engine 4 which could be the engine used to make the game.

According to previous leaks, the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened RPG is being developed for next-gen, is set in an open world and features heavy action RPG elements. The previously-leaked footage showed off snippets of the game including some combat, magic and a character customization system.
Avalanche Software has not released a game since 2018. Their last project was Cars 3: Driven to Win. Clearly the studio has been cooking up something and we just hope it has been cooking in a cauldron.
