The release date for LEGO Horizon Adventures has leaked ahead of the Nintendo Partner Direct scheduled to take place later today. Fans of PlayStation’s Horizon franchise will be able to get their hands on the LEGO game this November, it seems.
A Reddit user named foreveryoung1108 (reported by Gematsu) recently spotted the release date listing for LEGO Horizon Adventures on PlayStation’s official home page, revealing that it’s launching on 14 November 2024 for PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. The date leak appeared ahead of today’s Nintendo Partner Direct show where it will likely be officially announced.
LEGO Horizon Adventures was announced back in June as a LEGO spin-off to the Horizon franchise from PlayStation, consisting of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. PlayStation released an official description of the game which reads:
“In a distant future, the land is made of LEGO bricks and incredible dinosaur-like machines roam the Earth. Aloy, the game’s leading hero, is found in a cave as a baby and raised by a grizzled huntsman called Rost, who teaches her the way of the wilds. One day, Aloy embarks on a quest to discover her true destiny. Guided by a thousand-year-old hologram of a scientist called Elisabet, Aloy must confront Helis, the leader of a group of sun worshipers who bow to an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery. There’s much more in store for Aloy and her friends, as their adventure sends them across the tallest mountains and deepest cauldrons — all beautifully recreated in LEGO elements.“
Interestingly, LEGO Horizon Adventures will be launching not only on PS5 but Nintendo Switch and PC as well. Despite the Horizon franchise being exclusive to PlayStation in the past (later coming to PC), this is the first time that a PlayStation IP is directly appearing on a Nintendo platform, even though it’s not necessarily developed by one of Sony’s first-party studios.
