Lies of P Bloodborne Inspired Release Date Demo

Lies of P DLC to Launch in Early 2025, Round 8 Working on New Game – Report

Developer Round 8 Studio and Neowiz Games will reportedly launch the anticipated Lies of P DLC in Q1 2025 or early next year (between January – March). Round 8 confirmed that it was working on DLC for the soulslike title as far back as 2023 following the game’s release, though we’ve heard very little about it since then. According to a new report and a year of patiently waiting, it seems like we finally have a release window.

The report comes from EBN which claimed that the Lies of P DLC will launch in early 2025. Additionally, Round 8 is apparently already working on its next title which is said to be a sci-fi survival horror game for consoles and PC. “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” said a Neowiz representative. “It is one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing.”

Round 8 Studio and Neowiz have yet to make an official announcement confirming the release window for Lies of P‘s DLC. More interestingly, the Neowiz official stated that the new sci-fi survival horror game is only “one” of the PC and console games in development at Round 8 Studio, meaning it’s likely the developer is working on a second game concurrently. According to the same report from November 2023 when the studio teased the DLC, it also teased a potential sequel to Lies of P which could be the case here.

A report from August this year also claimed that the Lies of P sequel would be adopting an open-world design. Of course, none of this has been confirmed yet so we’ll have to wait for some confirmation from Neowiz and Round 8.

Lies of P launched in 2023 and became a big critical and commercial success, surpassing over 7 million players worldwide at launch. This was undoubtedly helped by its inclusion as a launch title on Xbox Game Pass, though it seemed to sell considerably well on PlayStation and PC too.
