Lies of P Bloodborne Inspired Release Date Demo

Lies of P Launches 19 September – Demo Out Now

Lies of P, the upcoming spin on the tale of Pinocchio inspired by Bloodborne, received an official release date of 19 September 2023 during last night’s Summer Game Fest 2023 Opening Showcase. The game was originally aiming for an August release but developers Neowiz Games and Round 8 Studio stated that it needed a bit more time in development to add the finishing touches and polishing. A demo was also shadow-dropped which is currently available on all platforms.

Lies of P puts a gothic spin on the classic story of Pinocchio, where players get to encounter familiar characters from the tale in a different light. As most players have already pointed out, it seems to lift a lot of inspiration from Bloodborne, the 2015 action-RPG developed by From Software, right down to its aesthetic and tone. Since we aren’t getting Bloodborne 2 anytime soon or at all, you can try out a demo of the game right now on consoles and PC.

The demo for Lies of P covers the first two chapters of the game containing three boss fights and plenty of locations to explore. You also get a chance to try out the weapon assemble feature, Legion Arm loadouts and several outfits.

The official description for Lies of P provided by Neowiz Games reads:

“You are a puppet created by Geppetto who’s caught in a web of lies with unimaginable monsters and untrustworthy figures standing between you and the events that have befallen the world of Lies of P. You are awakened by a mysterious voice that guides you through the plagued city of Krat – a once lively place that has been poisoned by madness and bloodlust. In our soulslike, you must adapt yourself and your weapons to face untold horrors, untangle the unfathomable secrets of the city’s elites and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on the journey to find yourself.”

Lies of P launches on 19 September 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s also coming day one to Xbox Game Pass. Check out the new trailer below:
