Lies of P, the upcoming Soulslike action-RPG based on Pinocchio and inspired by Bloodborne, is set to release in a couple of weeks for consoles and PC. Developer Round 8 Studio and Neowiz Games have kicked the marketing into fifth gear for the game, dropping new trailers ahead of its launch soon. We now have 7 minutes of pretty tense new gameplay that shows off one of the game’s key locations, the Lorenzini Arcade.
“Introducing the Lorenzini Arcade, the arcade filled with darkness and terror,” reads the description of the trailer. “Please be our guest, for new monsters, weapons, legions arms and bosses at the once-a-finest arcade of the city of Krat.” The Lorenzini Arcade lives up to its title of a location filled with darkness and terror as it’s home to some nightmarish and challenging enemies in its dimly lit areas. This should encourage players to be a lot more attentive to their surroundings as foes can strike out of the most unexpected places.

Lies of P director Choi Ji-won stated in a recent interview that the game will contain three different endings, though he encourages multiple playthroughs to see them all. It will also receive a crossover with Team Ninja’s Sekiro-inspired Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty later this month as a free update.
The official description for Lies of P on Steam reads:
“You are a puppet created by Geppetto who’s caught in a web of lies with unimaginable monsters and untrustworthy figures standing between you and the events that have befallen the world of Lies of P. You are awakened by a mysterious voice that guides you through the plagued city of Krat – a once lively place that has been poisoned by madness and bloodlust. In our soulslike, you must adapt yourself and your weapons to face untold horrors, untangle the unfathomable secrets of the city’s elites and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on the journey to find yourself.”
Lies of P launches on 19 September 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s also coming day one to Xbox Game Pass. Check out the latest gameplay below:
