A demo for Sega’s upcoming action game, Like a Dragon: Ishin!, is now available to download on consoles and PC. The game is a full remake of the 2014 PS3 and PS4 title, Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin!, which only launched in Japan and is based on the long-running Yakuza series. Players can now enjoy a “combat demo” for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC ahead of its release next week.
The combat demo for Like a Dragon: Ishin! allows players to experience two segments of the game: the Kiyomizu Temple and face off against three armoured warriors. Additionally, those that subscribe to the Sega newsletter will receive two in-game weapons, the Bonechewer Katana and the Waterdrop Katana. This offer will end on 20 March and is unfortunately only available to console players.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! was revealed last year as a remake of the 2014 game Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin!, which is set in 1860s Japan. The combat system is notably similar to its predecessor, Yakuza 5. Players control legendary figure Ryoma Sakamoto who shares an in-game appearance to the Yakuza series protagonist, Kiryu Kazuma.
Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Like a Dragon: Ishin! will gain access to the following:
