Doom The Dark Ages Xbox Collection

Limited Edition DOOM: The Dark Ages Xbox Controllers and Console Wrap Announced

To celebrate the launch of the anticipated DOOM: The Dark Ages next month, Xbox has announced fancy new controllers and console skins. The collection is exclusive to the Microsoft Store this time around and is not the usual “limited” stuff that Microsoft does where they make a single controller and console, and give it away to fans through social media – the Deadpool X Wolverine stuff is one of these examples.

The new DOOM: The Dark Ages goodies come with two controllers. One is the standard Xbox Wireless Controller that features the Doom Slayer’s armour with a green wrapping, red analogue stick and a red Mark of the Slayer.

The other is the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in a cool-looking transparent red shell. The transparent red plastic is on the front of the controller and you can see some of the internals but it is meant to look like blood.

Then there’s the Xbox Series X Console Wrap. The wrap is “inspired by an omen of DOOM” according to the official webpage. Inside the wrap, you’ll find some devilish text and symbols. Sort of looks like a tome to summon hell itself. The outside then features the Mark of the Slayer.

Together, the entire collection looks really awesome. At the moment, it is all available exclusively on the Microsoft Store. We don’t know yet whether or not the items will be sold outside of the store. According to the listings, the exclusivity is timed so perhaps we’ll be able to purchase them somewhere down the line.

If you have the means to buy them from the store, and live in a country where the store is available, you can visit the landing page here. The Xbox Wireless Controller is $79.99, The Xbox Elite 2 controller is $199.99, and the Xbox Series X wrap is $54,99. DOOM: The Dark Ages is expected to launch on 15 May.
