Sony and Warner Bros. Games have teamed up to release a limited edition Hogwarts Legacy DualSense Controller. The controller was announced last night but sadly by the look of things, won’t be available in South Africa. That’s because the Hogwarts Legacy DualSense is only available through Sony’s PlayStation Direct store and we don’t get support for that online store in our region.
Still, the controller is pretty. It comes with an all-black design with some gold finishes across the face. The two controller handles feature unique gold patterns similar to some of the effects you’ll see in the game. These swirls represent Ancient Magic which is a big focus in Hogwarts Legacy.

On the touchpad, there’s also a decal of Hogwarts in gold and it looks great. According to the art director behind the design, the team originally thought of using houses, magic wands, beasts and even the sorting hat on the controller. However, they all decided that the “star of the game” would make for a better choice.
If you are in a region where the PlayStation Direct Store is available, you’ll be able to order the controller starting today at 10 am GMT. US gamers can pre-order the controller from 10 am PT today too. The controller will then launch on 28 February. If somehow South Africa does get a small batch of these, I will share the news on the site. It is a limited edition DualSense but unlike the God of War Ragnarok version, this seems to be very limited to certain countries only.
Pre-orders begin for the limited edition #HogwartsLegacy DualSense wireless controller on February 10th at 10 AM PT for the US and 10 AM GMT for the UK on https://t.co/5htEraWDLd (while supplies last – US & UK only). pic.twitter.com/SjjG2k0Mjn
