Disney has officially delayed the upcoming live-action remake of Mulan indefinitely due to the coronavirus. The movie is not the first to suffer a delay as big Hollywood films such as The Quiet Place 2, and 007: No Time to Die were also delayed in order to prevent large crowds of people watching forming to watch the films.

The live-action Mulan remake was set for a 27 March release date but Disney has decided to delay it and push it back for a while until the COVID-19 virus gets under control. It is unclear when the film will land in cinemas as Disney is evaluating the situation and will look for new release dates.
Disney has also decided to shut down Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventures from 14 March 2020 through until the end of the month. The company posted a notice stating that while there have been no reported cases of the coronavirus at Disneyland Resort, the company will adhere to the Governor of California’s guidelines and shut the park down for a few weeks. The company has also shut down the Orlando park until further notice.

This marks the fourth time in history that Disney has been forced to close the parks. The three other times were after the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, the Northridge Earthquake in 1994, and the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
So if you planned on watching the live-action Mulan or heading to Disneyland anytime soon, it ain’t gonna happen. Not until this COVID-19 virus calms down.
