Lords of the Fallen All Starting Classes Breakdown

Lords of The Fallen Sequel in Development – Coming 2026

A sequel to last year’s Lords of The Fallen is currently in development, publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks have confirmed. The sequel is currently scheduled to arrive in 2026, which is a tremendously tight development time unless work began on the sequel well before the release of the last game. No other details are known about it other than the fact that the sequel’s PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store when it launches.

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, CI Games has confirmed that work is already underway for the sequel to last year’s Lords of The Fallen, which was already a reboot of the similarly-named dark fantasy Soulslike RPG that released in 2014. Reviews were mostly positive, though some criticism was aimed at the game’s often confusing map layout and certain mechanics, such as the dual-world Axiom and Umbral, not being utilised to its full potential.

With a sequel, Hexworks has the opportunity to take some of that criticism and use it to refine a hopefully better and more cohesive follow-up. We’ll have to wait until 2026 to see if it surpasses its predecessor.

The official description for Lords of The Fallen reads:

“Overthrow a resurrected demon god in this all-new adventure set in an interconnected world five times larger than the original game. In Lords of the Fallen, you play as one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, who must journey through the realms of the living and the dead to disrupt the reign of Adyr, a cruel tyrant who has ushered in a new age of devastation for humanity. Along the way, you’ll endure colossal boss battles and get to grips with a fast and challenging combat system. With nine character classes and hundreds of weapons to choose from, you’ll customise your hero and develop your own play style as you set out to defy the gods.”

Lords of The Fallen is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s also available to play on Xbox Game Pass.
