Lost Soul Aside, the upcoming action game from Chinese developer Ultizero Games, has debuted a stylish new gameplay trailer, also confirming that the title will be coming to PS5 and PC sometime in 2025. Players are also able to wishlist the game right now, even though it doesn’t have a concrete release date yet.
The gameplay for Lost Soul Aside seems to be a cross between Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy with its fast-paced, breakneck combat and fantastical visuals (which is no surprise considering that Ultizero Games was heavily inspired by Final Fantasy XV and similar action-RPGs). The protagonist, Kazer, is shown battling a variety of fantasy beasts such as an ice wolf in the trailer. There’s probably a lot more to come that we haven’t seen yet.
The development progress of Lost Soul Aside has been interesting to follow. The game was initially expected to release in early 2024 but was seemingly delayed to give Ultizero Games more time in development. Since 2022, fans have been drip-fed bits of new gameplay and information. The developer now seems pretty confident in its 2025 release window as players can now add it to their wishlists.
Sadly, we don’t have a release date yet but we do know that it’s coming to both PS5 and PC next year. At one point, there was also a PS4 version in development but according to older reports, it was cancelled for unknown reasons.
Lost Soul Aside is part of PlayStation’s China Hero Project, which mainly focuses on publishing games made exclusively in China to an international crowd. Other games under this publishing initiative include FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch and Anno: Mutationem.
Lost Soul Aside releases on PS5 and PC sometime in 2025. We’ll simply have to wait for an official release date. Watch the latest gameplay trailer below:
