Developer Ultizero Games has delayed its upcoming action-RPG, Lost Soul Aside, to August to allow the team more time to polish the game and make sure it’s in a good state. It was initially expected to release on 30 May but the launch has now been moved to 29 August.
Lost Soul Aside has been in development for several years at this point, first being announced nearly a decade ago in July 2016 (development actually began around the end of 2014). In 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment officially announced that it would be publishing the game on PS4 and PS5, though it was later made a console exclusive to PS5 (alongside PC).
Ultizero Games released a statement confirming the delay:
“We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch.”
This shouldn’t come as a surprise for players who have been following Lost Soul Aside‘s development progress for the last few years. This is the first time that Ultizero Games settled on a concrete date rather than a window, so take it as a good sign that it’s progressing smoothly and very close to release.
The game’s description reads:
“Run the gauntlet of formidable enemies and colossal bosses in this breathtakingly stylish single player action-adventure RPG; chaining weapon and spectacular attack combos in high-octane, dynamic combat. Adapt your fighting style, solve puzzles, and evolve incredible abilities on a truly heroic quest.”
Lost Soul Aside will now launch on 29 August 2025 for PS5 and PC. In case you missed it, check out our South African pre-order guide.
