Lost Soul Aside, the upcoming PS5 exclusive action RPG from Chinese developer UltiZero Games, might be getting a release date soon. This news comes in light of the game getting an ISBN license approval to release in China, suggesting that fans will hear of a date in the coming weeks or months. The game has been in development for almost eight years.
Lost Soul Aside‘s official Twitter/X account revealed that the game had recently received an ISBN license approval in China. According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, this means that the game has officially been reviewed and can now launch in mainland China. Ahmad also added that he expects news of a potential release date to arrive within the next three months or so.
All signs point to a PlayStation Showcase reportedly set to take place sometime in May, which is usually the month Sony chooses to host its big annual presentations every year. If a PlayStation Showcase doesn’t happen, we speculate that Lost Soul Aside will make an appearance at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest kick-off show, scheduled for 7 June.
This means the game has been reviewed and can officially launch in mainland China.

Lost Soul Aside is a fast-paced hack and slash action RPG inspired by Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XV. Regarding story and plot details, we don’t know much about the game at this point. However, thanks to the handful of trailers we’ve received over the years, it looks to be set in a fantasy world where players must battle against formidable foes of varying sizes and power. Combat is fast, energetic and visually dazzling – fans of the genre should keep their eyes on it.
