Lost Soul Aside Early 2024 Sony PS5 Gameplay

Lost Soul Aside PS4 Version Reportedly Cancelled

Lost Soul Aside, the upcoming action-RPG from developer Ultizero Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment, has reportedly cancelled its PS4 version. The game was originally announced to launch exclusively on PS4 back in 2018 before its release got pushed back. Ultizero Games previously confirmed that the game would release on PS4, PS5 and PC platforms but now it looks like the last-gen version might be getting left behind.

Sony recently held a showcase at ChinaJoy 2023 where it showed off more gameplay for Lost Soul Aside. As spotted by Gematsu, a trailer for the game from the event only lists PS5 and PC as the available platforms, excluding PS4. Back in April 2021, Sony announced that Lost Soul Aside would also receive a PS4 release but it seems to be missing from all the latest trailers.

So far, Ultizero Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment haven’t come forward to confirm if the PS4 version of Lost Soul Aside has been cancelled or not. If we read between the lines, it seems likely that development shifted to focus on a PS5 version only (as well as PC).

The recent trailers released for Lost Soul Aside show off some impressive visuals which begs the question if the developers were able to make a PS4 port capable of running the game smoothly. We’ll just have to wait for an official confirmation on the PS4 version’s cancellation from either Ultizero Games or Sony.

Lost Soul Aside currently doesn’t have a release date but it’s scheduled to launch sometime in early 2024. Attendees at ChinaJoy 2023 were able to get some hands-on time with the game at Sony’s booth and so far, the impressions have been largely positive with praise being given to its fast-paced, flashy combat, visuals and animations.
