M3GAN is getting a sequel and it is cleverly named M3GAN 2.0 (you know because she is a droid). According to Variety, the internet’s favourite dancing doll will return to the big screens again in 2025 with a direct sequel. M3GAN 2.0 is set to release on 17 January 2025.
M3GAN 2.0 will see screenwriter Aleka Cooper return for the sequel. Although no details regarding the movie plot have been revealed at this time. We do know that Allison Williams, whose character was brought to life in the first movie, will be back for M3GAN 2.0 to play M3GAN’s best friend. She will be played by Violet McGraw.

Gerard Johnstone directed the first M3GAN. However, the sequel doesn’t have a director just yet. We don’t know if he will return to direct the second movie. It is being produced under Atomic Monster and Blumhouse.
M3GAN has done quite well at the box office. The film generated $91 million globally with a budget of only $12 million. After the success, M3GAN producers Jason Blum and James Wan announced that the two would be interested in making a sequel of the film.
