Last night, 2K Games announced the Mafia: Trilogy. However, at the time, it was not clear what games would be getting a remaster in the collection. It seems that the original and Mafia 2 will release as a “Definitive Edition” in the collection. The new versions will boast a remastered engine, visuals and more. According to the Microsoft store listing (which has since been removed) the game looks gorgeous as seen in the screenshots.
We don’t know much about the Mafia: Definitive Edition just yet. However, the screenshots show off some pretty revamped visuals including character models, textures and lighting. It is a day and night difference compared to the original game. The Microsoft Store listing describes Mafia: Definitive Edition as;

The store listing also revealed that Definitive Editions of Mafia 2 and 3 are on the way. The games will release on 28 August 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. 2K Games will be making a full announcement on 16 May 2020. In addition, we will get some clarity on which games are which and how they have been improved. For now, it seems the entire collection will be getting some sort of revamped visual polish.
