Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting new content next week and it could be the most exciting DLC yet. Nintendo plans on launching the new Booster Course Wave 5 for the game which adds new tracks and new characters. The DLC will include returning tracks from previous Mario Kart games as well as a brand-new track called Squeaky Clean Sprint.
Other tracks in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Wave 5 include remade versions of tracks in Mario Kart Wii, Tour, Double Dash and Super Circuit.

These tracks will be familiar to those who have played the past games. There are 8 new tracks in total:
- Koopa Cape (Mario Kart Wii)
- Los Angeles Laps (Mario Kart Tour)
- Moonview Highway (Mario Kart Wii)
- Squeaky Clean Sprint (New)
- Athens Dash (Mario Kart Tour)
- Daisy Cruiser (Mario Kart Double Dash)
- Sunset Wilds (Mario Kart Super Circuit)
- Vancouver Velocity (Mario Kart Tour)
As for the new playable characters, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Wave 5 includes Petey Piranha from Mario Kart Double Dash, Wiggler from Mario Kart 7 and Kamek from Mario Kart Tour.
Keep in mind that this is the second last DLC pack for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Nintendo plans on releasing one more DLC pack by the end of 2023. Booster Course Wave 4 was released in March so given the release schedule, we will likely see the final Wave 6 in October/November.
Mario Kart 8 will be the most supported game in Nintendo history. After the launch of Wave 6, the game will include 48 DLC tracks apart from the tracks released in the main game. There’s definitely no shortage of content.
