Nintendo kicked off its Direct stream today with a rather substantial announcement. The first new Mario & Luigi RPG in nine years is coming to Switch. The game called, Mario & Luigi: Brothership is expected to launch on 7 November.
During the trailer, we see that Mario & Luigi: Brothership features the series’ iconic turn-based interactive combat. Nintendo says Brothership takes players on a “seafaring adventure across various islands”. There’s also a strange-looking electrical plug support character.
Looking closely, we can actually see that the game features a number of these electrical outlet designs. Some enemies boast these electrical designs and there are various
Mario & Luigi: Brothership also boasts a cool-looking cel-shaded art style. If anything, it looks like a cartoon. Nintendo will likely share more information on this title ahead of the release in November. Check out the trailer below:
