Ubisoft has detailed the post-launch plans for its latest family strategy game, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. In 2023, players will receive three DLC packs, but the first will only be available to Season Pass holders. The last pack will finally introduce Rayman as a playable character in the game.
The first DLC will be called ‘The Tower of Doooom’, which will add a new combat game mode in early 2023. However, only those who purchased the Season Pass will be able to access this pack as it won’t be sold separately.
Ubisoft provided an official description for The Tower of Doooom:
“Madame Bwahstrella needs Mario, Rabbid Peach and their friends to clean her multi-dimensional tower and save their old friend Spawny! Coming early 2023, this extension will add a new combat game mode in which players will face highly strategic battles as they make their way to the top of the Tower.”
The second DLC is still largely unknown, but it will apparently see players “confront a mysterious foe on a new, enchanting planet.” It’s expected to launch sometime in mid-2023.
The last DLC pack is the one fans were anticipating the most. Launching in late 2023, the third DLC will let players control Rayman as he teams up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach on a “surprising, fun and epic adventure.”
The second and third DLC packs will be sold separately, but The Tower of Doooom will only be accessible through the $29.99 Season Pass for some reason.
The official description for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope from Nintendo reads:
Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!
• Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
• Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
• Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
• Unleash your heroes’ skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is currently available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
