Nintendo has shared new details on the anticipated Rayman DLC for the awesome Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Switch game. The DLC was originally announced last year with the game launch and fans have been eagerly waiting for Rayman’s return.
According to Nintendo, the DLC is called Rayman in the Phantom Show and it is releasing on 30 August for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It marks the final DLC for the game and is included in the Gold Edition version. You’ll also get to purchase it separately at launch.

Rayman in the Phantom Show is a separate story which takes place outside the Sparks of Hope world. Players will only have three characters to control including Rayman, Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach. They find themselves on the Space Opera Network, a TV show littered with different sets from different Mario and Ubisoft worlds.
This show and its network are run by the Phantom, the antagonist from the previous Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle game. He is now the studio director. However, the Phantom hasn’t done a good job with the Network as ratings are at an all-time low.
The DLC follows Rayman, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario as they star in these shows in order to rack up viewers. Rayman comes with his own set of attacks and abilities. He can even use his iconic helicopter glide to get around.
Ubisoft confirmed that Rayman voice actor David Gasman returned to voice the role in the DLC. The studio also says that Christophe Heral and Grant Kirkhope composed the soundtrack for the DLC too. Both also worked on the music for Rayman Legends.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was released in October last year. Despite positive reviews, the game has struggled to be a commercial success. Hopefully, this DLC will draw some new players to the game because it is truly a remarkable experience. Watch the trailer for the DLC below:
