Marvel Shows From Disney+ Will Directly Affect The MCU

In April, we learned that the Disney+ streaming service will launch in the US on 12 November 2019 and there are plans to roll out the service globally at a later time. One of the most exciting things about the service is the new Marvel shows planned for it, including a Loki show featuring Tom Hiddleston himself, a Hawkeye show and more.

Now, according to the Captain Marvel producer, Mary Livanos, these Marvel shows on Disney+ will directly affect the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU has been largely separate from previous Marvel shows which aired on Netflix, from Daredevil to Jessica Jones and a few more.

That will all change according to Mary Livanos, who spoke to Comicbook.com and shared this little snippet of information when asked if the Marvel shows coming to Disney+ will be detached from the MCU:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33fff6″ class=”” size=”25″]No I don’t think so. They will directly affect the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some very real ways. That’s what makes the opportunity to segue into the streaming space so attractive to us at Marvel Studios. You can really tell, like a full comic book event, like a multi-issue story from the point of storytelling.[/perfectpullquote]

This means that for Marvel fans, these shows including a Falcon/Bucky one, A Vision/Scarlet Witch one, as well as the Hawkeye and Loki shows mentioned earlier, will be crucial to stay up to date with what is going on between MCU films. That’s not a bad thing, as all these big actors from the films will feature in the Marvel shows.
