The Marvel Studios president and producer, Kevin Feige, has been involved in every single Marvel film from the first Iron Man all the way to Endgame and he is also heading the production of the Phase 4 films. To put it mildly, Kevin Feige has done an extremely good job with the MCU so far and now, he will be working on a new Star Wars film as well.

While The Rise of Skywalker is still months away, releasing in December this year, Disney and LucasFilms already have plans for multiple projects planned and Kevin Feige will be joining Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on a new film.
Judging by his work so far, Kevin Feige should be a great addition and maybe bring that Marvel magic to the Star Wars universe. As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Walt Disney Studios co-chairman and chief creative officer, Alan Horn, spoke to them about Feige’s entry into the universe, explaining that:

With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.[/perfectpullquote]
There are no additional details about the new Star Wars film, but according to the report, Kevin Feige does have a major actor in mind for a specific role.
