Earlier this week Sony announced that PlayStation owners will get Spider-Man as an exclusive character in Marvel’s Avengers. If you own a PS4 or plan on buying a PS5, you can play as the web-swinging hero only on the PlayStation platform. It seems there’s even more reason to play the upcoming RPG on PlayStation. Sony revealed exclusive content coming to the game later this year.

First, let’s cover the content coming to the game for everyone. In a new blog post, Square Enix detailed Marvel’s Avengers Community Challenges. These timed-events see players work together to unlock rewards for everyone. Each month a new Marvel’s Avengers Community Challenge is available for players to unlock. However, while everyone has access to the challenges, PlayStation players will have access to exclusive console-specific rewards. It is unclear what these rewards entail but know they are different from the ones found on other platforms.
PlayStation players will also have 30-day exclusive access to a Legendary Outfit, Legendary Emote, Epic Takedown and nameplates for each character as they release. This includes the six launch heroes. PlayStation Plus subscribers also get a free cosmetic bundle for each superhero added post-launch.

At launch, we’ll have a free bundle for Ms. Marvel available for PS Plus members to embiggen our love for Kamala![/perfectpullquote]
Perhaps, PlayStation owners just get 30 days to purchase these Legendary Cosmetics before other players? We know Marvel’s Avengers includes a robust in-game cosmetic store but by the sound of things, “30-day access” may mean users still need to purchase them.
