Xbox has confirmed that Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers will arrive on Xbox Game Pass tomorrow, 30 September 2021. Best of all, it will be the full experience which includes the game’s single-player campaign, all year-one content, three Operations, and all the Avengers characters released as free DLC so far.

Marvel’s Avengers will hit Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate (as an Xbox Play Anywhere title) tomorrow delivering the full package, which contains the game’s year-one content along with its single-player campaign and DLC characters from Hawkeye and Kate Bishop to the War For Wakanda Expansion.

Crystal Dynamics announced the launch on Xbox Game Pass with all the previously released content included:

“Marvel’s Avengers is coming with Xbox Game Pass on September 30! All year-one content is included! Play all 9 Heroes, the Reassemble Campaign, three Operations, and the ever-evolving Avengers Initiative for endless multiplayer action.”

Crystal Dynamics posted a more in-depth blog post about what players can expect when Marvel’s Avengers launches on Xbox Game Pass. As detailed, when it arrives it will come with all content released for the game thus far but interestingly, will continue to include the free content that will drop as part of their roadmap. Needless to say, this is an excellent way to try and boost the player base since the game’s launch didn’t get the warmest reception and player count had significantly dwindled – not a great sign for a live-service model game that needs continued support. Hopefully, with its release on Xbox Game Pass, it can finally reach more players.

Marvel’s Avengers will also arrive on Game Pass just in time for its one-year anniversary celebration, which will include a Quadruple XP event that runs from 30 September to 4 October. Crystal Dynamics elaborated:

“This is especially valuable for Xbox players, because as part of our launch as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, if you already own Marvel’s Avengers on Xbox you can also download and play the Windows PC version at no additional cost and rapidly level up your Heroes!”

Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with free upgrades available to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
