In a new Marvel’s Midnight Suns video, Firaxis Games has put together an entire history lesson on the one and the only Spider-Man. The video shifts away from gameplay, skills, abilities and combat and rather touches on the character’s Marvel history, where he came from and what he has gotten up to throughout his various missions.

The previous Marvel’s Midnight Suns videos focused more on gameplay so this so-called ‘Hero History’ video is a nice break away from the actual game itself. It is especially nice to see how Spider-Man came to be and how the developers have incorporated a character that is canon to the Marvel universe into the game itself.

Firaxis says that the Spider-Man in Marvel’s Midnight Suns has access to arcane abilities which ties back to his comic book roots. While most games and movies see Spider-Man as a science-based hero, that is actually not the case. In fact, there are a lot of supernatural elements going on in Spider-Man’s various cameos that would prove otherwise.

Grab some coffee and enjoy this ten-minute Hero History video. There’s a lot to absorb here and those who aren’t as familiar with Spider-Man as they hope will definitely find it interesting. As for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the game is set to launch on 7 October for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC.
