Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set to launch next month and as we lead up to the game’s release date, Firaxis has shed some light on the game’s combat, post-launch content and now Ghost Rider. In the latest trailer for the turn-based strategy game, we get to see the Ghost Rider, Robby Rayes in action.
Ghost Rider is mainly a powerful damage dealer in Marvel’s Midnight Suns who sacrifices his life force to deal damage to enemies. Ghost Rider also has a Soul Meter that fills up as he knocks out enemies in combat.
Interestingly, the trailer opens up with a short cameo of the original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze. We don’t know how Robby Rayes comes to be in the current game and what happens to Blaze. However, we know that the current playable Ghost Rider in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is Robby Rayes and not Johnny Blaze. It will be interesting to see how Firaxis ties the original character’s story into the game at this point.

Ghost Rider uses his chains and a lot of fire to deal heavy damage to enemies in the game. One attack called Immolate sees enemies killed by the damage explode in 2 turns. This means you can carefully plan when to use this attack to make the best out of the post-death explosion. His Lash attack sends enemies into the combat field when hit so you can pair the two attacks together to position them ready for the explosion.
