A new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 live-action trailer has been spotted online which has kicked off an unexpected marketing campaign for Sony. We know that Insomniac Games plans on releasing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 this year but it seems that Sony is already spending money on the game’s marketing. In a video, which was taken off ESPN 2 in Australia, a live-action advert played showing Peter Parker and Miles Morales swinging through the city as a news reporter covered their recent capture of criminals.
The trailer isn’t very long. In fact, it only lasts for 15 seconds. It is meant to be a filler ad in-between moments of a sports game. However, while the trailer isn’t very long, it does confirm the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 release window of Spring 2023. It also confirms that Peter Parker and Miles Morales both team up in the game. This is confirmed by a shot of Peter Parker swinging away with Miles following behind him.

There’s nothing else to see here. The rest of the video simply lists the PS5 as “in stock now”. The big takeaway from the video is definitely the release window. This confirms that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will indeed release in Spring 2023. Keep in mind that this video was aired in Australia and the country’s Spring 2023 season is the same as South Africa’s. Meaning, Sony is targeting to release Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 between September and November 2023.
