Mass Effect Jennifer Hale Commander Shepard TV Show Original Cast Amazon

Mass Effect Actress Jennifer Hale Wants The Original Voice Cast For TV Show

Last November, Amazon officially announced (or re-announced) that it was working on a Mass Effect TV adaptation. At this point, it’s unclear if the show will directly adapt the events of the first three games in the series or do its own thing. As for the voice acting talent, Jennifer Hale, who played the female Commander Shepard in the original trilogy, stated that she’d love to play Shepard again in the show. She also vouched for the original cast to make a return in some form.

Speaking with Eurogamer in a recent interview, Jennifer Hale spoke a bit about the upcoming Mass Effect TV adaptation from Amazon. She revealed that she wants to play a role in the series but also pushed the idea of other original cast members also making a return. “You will always get a yes vote from me on Shepard coming back in any form,” said Hale. “That was such a gift, and it’s a gift I will always be extremely joyful to receive.”

Hale suggested that Amazon would be smart to include the original cast of voice actors in the series as well. If the TV show adapts the original trilogy, it will likely feature new actors, though Hale believes that the original cast could also be included as cameos or Easter eggs. “I think they’d be really smart to pull as much of the original cast into the show in cameos and Easter eggs and recurring and regular [roles] as possible,” said Hale. “I think that would be an absolutely genius move.”

Amazon has yet to actually reveal what its plans are for the series. Some fans believe Henry Cavill might be involved in the show after the actor shared an image to his Instagram of him reading the Mass Effect 3 wiki. This was several years ago so plans could’ve changed since then.
