The long-awaited announcement of the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition could be taking place this week. For those who don’t know, N7 Day happens once a year on 7 November. It is the day set aside to celebrate the Mass Effect series and this year, multiple voice cast members, as well as developers from the series, are reuniting together on the day.
The list of Mass Effect members includes Jennifer Hale who played the female Commander Shepard along with Mark Meer who played the male version. In addition, Raphael Sbarge (Kaiden Alenko), Kimberly Brooks (Ashley Williams), Courtney Taylor (Jack), Alix Wilton Regan (Traynor), William Salyers (Mordin Solus), D.C. Douglas (Legion), Ali Hillis (Liara T’Soni), and Steve Blum (Grunt) are all joining in.
The cast are set to host a special panel which will take place at 11am PST / 7pm GMT / 8pm CET / 9pm SAT on 7 November. The link to the panel will be shared before the event according to the cast members. If you miss out on the event, you can watch it afterwards too.
The possibility of the Mass Effect: Legendary announcement taking place during the event is quite high. N7 Day is a time where players celebrate their love for the series. The remastered trilogy leaked a few months ago when a list of gameplay changes appeared online. UK retailers then began to take pre-orders for the unannounced game. Soon after, the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition listings appeared online before industry insiders confirmed it had been pushed into 2021. An announcement during the day simply makes sense but right now we don’t know for sure what the plan is.
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is 2020’s worst kept secret but let’s hope the announcement takes place this week. You can keep up to date by following Jennifer Hale on Twitter.
